When it snows, there are many ways to enjoy the winter wonderland, and one fun activity is making a snow slushie. Making a snow slushie is a simple and easy way to create a tasty treat that's perfect for a snowy day. To make a snow slushie, you will need freshly fallen snow, a bowl or cup, and your favorite juice. Simply collect a few handfuls of snow and pack them into your cup, then pour your juice concentrate and water over the snow. Mix everything together, and you'll have a delicious, icy treat to enjoy. Making a snow slushie can be a fun activity for kids and adults alike, and it's a great way to make the most of a snowy day. So next time it snows, try making a snow slushie and enjoy the taste of winter!
For one 8-10 oz. slushie, you'll need:
1/4 cup 100% juice concentrate (I used Welch's Strawberry Breeze)
1/2 cup cold water
3-4 cups of fresh, clean snow
Directions:
In a large cup, mix the juice concentrate and cold water.
Add the snow 1/2 cup at a time and stir. The snow will melt and reduce in size immediately.
After 2 cups or so of snow, the slush will start to thicken. Continue adding snow until you've reached the slushiness you prefer. We like it extra thick, to eat with a spoon, which took about 3 cups of snow for a 10 oz serving.
Enjoy! Now if I could just figure out a way to have all this fresh snow available for slushies in the middle of summer....
