Road Trip Robot Snack

By Jennifer Schorr August 13, 2015
Do your kids get bored easily on car rides? Want something fun to give them as a snack? If you answered yes, then this Road Trip Robot is perfect for you!  It could even be used as a cute take-home treat from a party.

What you will need:
  • Juice box (I used a Capri Sun, but juice boxes are much easier to use since they have flat sides)
  • A flat snack for the bottom (I used a pack of crackers, but you could use a box of pretzel sticks, too)
  • 2 snacks to use as arms (I used Smarties, but you could use lollipops, Tootsie Rolls, or anything else long and skinny)
  • Something round-ish for the head (I used a bowl of mandarin oranges, but applesauce, Pringles container, etc. would also work)
  • 2 Google eyes
  • Spoon (if needed for any of your snack items)
  • Tape
  • Glue
What you will do:
  1. Tape together your items in a robot shape. Use the juice box as the body, then tape the other snacks in place.
  2. Glue on two google eyes on its head, and if you want, draw buttons on the body or use pieces of construction paper.
  3. If you have a spoon, tape it to the back of the robot. This not only makes the spoon handy for your little traveler, but it also adds some support.
Introduce your kids to their new robot friend at your first rest stop!
