Stay Cool and Dive In: Discover Worcester's Water Wonderland!

Looking to escape the summer heat in the Greater Worcester area? Look no further than our fantastic local pools, splash pads, and beaches for a refreshing summer experience! Starting July 1st, the City of Worcester with all of its splash pads will be open to the public from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Whether you're seeking a lively water play area or a serene beachfront, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Beat the heat, make a splash, and create unforgettable summer memories right here in Worcester, Shrewsbury and Westborough!

Pools

  1. YMCA Greendale 
  2. YMCA Central Community
  3. YMCA Westborough
  4. Worcester JCCA
  5. Bennett Field (Veterans Memorial) Public Pool, Worcester (1260 Main Street). Open daily from 11:15am-6:45pm, Public swim: 11:15am-4:45pm. Family swim: 5pm-5:45pm (children must be accompanied by a responsible adult, 18 years or older). Adult lap swim: 6pm-6:45pm.
  6. Westboro Tennis and Swim Club, 35 Chauncy Street, Westborough (508) 366-1222 *membership required
  7. Dennis F. Shine Memorial Swimming Pool - Worcester (87 Providence Street)
  8. Crompton Park Pool, Worcester (50 Canton St)  Opening Tuesday, July 4th. The pool will be open to the public from 12-7 p.m. every day until the end of August. Limited capacity based on lifeguard staffing levels.


Fresh Water Beaches

  1. Sunset beach in Shrewsbury (64 Old Faith Road)
  2. Bell Hill Pond Beach, Worcester (238 Belmont St), opening Friday, June 30 from 11am-5pm daily, bathroom facilities will be closed, but portable toilets will be available. No lifeguards or parks attendants on duty, swim at your own risk.
  3. Lake Chauncy, Westborough (60 Lyman St. Westborough) *pass required
  4. Coes Pond (John J. Binienda Memorial Beach), Worcester, reopen for use Thursday, July 6. On Friday, July 7, Coes Reservoir, including the beach, will temporarily close due to invasive plant treatment. It is planned to reopen the lake the following day, Saturday, July 8.
  5. Indian Lake has 2 public beaches, Worcester. Will NOT open this season.
  6. Hopkinton State Park, Hopkinton
  7. Morgan Landing Park on Indian Lake, Worcester (580 Grove Street, Worcester, MA)
  8. Regatta Point Park, Worcester (more geared toward boat rentals and you can rent paddle swan boats)
  9. Quinsigamond State Park, Worcester (10 N. Lake Ave)
  10. Douglas State Forest, Douglas (107 Wallum Lake Road)
  11. Shore Park Beach, 85 Shore Drive, Worcester

Splash Pads

  1. Cristoforo Colombo Spray Park (East Park) - Worcester - opens on Friday, June 30th from noon-7pm, 7 days a week until Labor Day
  2. Greenwood spray park - Worcester (14 Forsberg Street) Opens at noon, July 1st from noon-7pm, 7 days a week until Labor Day 
  3. YMCA Greendale - Worcester splash pad
