Tips from the Worcester Bravehearts for Taking Kids to a Baseball Game

By Noelle Monaghan April 5, 2017

It's baseball season!  This time of year is so fun and we have you covered with tips directly from the Worcester Bravehearts, to help you when you bring your children to the games.  The Bravehearts offer games with weekly fireworks afterwards, a 6th inning kids run, great deals on food, special events all season, convenient free parking in the multi level Fitton Field parking garage, Jake the Lion is the mascot and he is frequently seen at the games in the stands, plus the seating is great wherever you go in the stadium.  Check out their schedule here, and be sure to keep an eye out for the free birthday club promotion with North Worcester Macaroni Kid this year.  Their first game of the year is on Wednesday, May 30th and they continue thru Sunday, August 4th.  Season tickets are already on sale, so be sure to start looking now to secure your space.

1. Arrive early! Bravehearts players are available for autographs inside the main entrance 30 minutes before every home game. Souvenir programs, which include every players picture, are available for $1 each inside the main entrance.

2. Plan ahead. The Bravehearts fill each game with fun promotions like "Fireworks Fridays" "Free T-shirt Saturdays" and kid-friendly promotions on Sundays like "Superhero and Princess Day". Pick out a date or two that will interest you the most!

3. Bring your glove. There is enough space around the ballpark, making it a great opportunity to catch a foul ball and make a lifelong memory.

4. Bring your camera. The games are filled with photo opportunities. The team's mascot is always roaming the stands, the seats are close enough to the field to capture great action shots, and the "Kid Zone" offers the opportunity for some great family-friendly photos.

5. Stay through the sixth inning. At every home game, the Bravehearts welcome every child in the entire ballpark to run across the outfield in the middle of the sixth inning. It can be the highlight of your child's evening.
