"Totally awesome party!" We had a fantastic time at the TubaSlide party at Ski Ward for our children this summer! From the moment we entered the building at Ski Ward, we were greeted by fun birthday party hosts in a super creative party room filled with balloons, table decorations and a menu board to order our lunch and ice cream from. When everyone placed their orders and got their wrist bands on, we all headed to the outdoor TubaSlide! The music was playing outside, the sand volleyball court was set up, and a bouncy house was also ready to be used by our guests.
2 hours of sliding on the tubes, riding up the lift, linking together, giggling while going down the slopes in the sprinkling water, flew by! At the base of the slope is an area with picnic tables and umbrellas for the parents or tired children to take a quick break. Water and pink lemonade were readily available for all throughout the party on our hot summer day!
When we arrived back in the party room, the staff served our guests their lunch orders as they sat on the benches, eagerly awaiting. Each child had the option of ordering whatever they wanted for lunch from the menu. Hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chicken fingers, grilled cheese or veggie burgers. Everyone got their fill and the food tasted good. After quickly eating, the kids were ready for the next part of the party. Pinata time! Miss Stephanie escorted the group outside and the kids listened to her directions intently. The sports themed pinata was set up near the chair lift area. There was enough candy for all 25 kids to walk away with a handful of assorted pieces. Thank goodness!
We walked back into the party room and enjoyed singing to the party kids, then formed a line with an ice cream sundae bar. The kids each got two scoops of the flavor of ice cream they ordered (more than 10 flavors are available), and the staff served the toppings to each child to make sure there wasn't a mess. My personal favorite topping was the warm melted chocolate that they poured on from a warming pot. Although, the sprinkles and candy options were amazing as well!
At the end of the party, Ski Ward gave both birthday children a card and a couple of free passes to return. The guests received goody bags with toys and a discount coupon to return over the summer and use the TubaSlide. We received so many compliments on our birthday party at Ski Ward, that I guarantee we will be back for another summer TubaSlide party! Thank you Ski Ward, we had a great time!
