Let's go Railers! Let's go Railers! The fans cheered throughout the game we attended last weekend at the DCU Center to support the Worcester Railers. How fun! Such a great family friendly event at a reasonable price. Tickets start at $15. If you decide to go, here are some tips to prepare you for your experience.
- Arrive about 30 minutes ahead of the game time to ensure no glitches with the parking garage.
- Prior to the game there is an area near section 107 that has a kid friendly hockey shooting challenge, along with information about the kids club and a spinning game (pay per spin to win Railers merchandise for the kids)
- During the game make sure to dance and cheer for your team and you just might get on the televised screen for all to see!
- They throw out free shirts, gift cards to local restaurants with a flying blimp and offer a puck throwing challenge at the end of the game.
We enjoyed the karate group that performed between the 1st and 2nd periods, along with the fun on screen trivia games as well. The team mascot, Trax was spotted in different places around the rink and let us take a picture with him mid-game. With every goal the Worcester Railers made, the train horn sounded off! When the game was over, our kids didn't want to leave. All 4 of us loved it and will be sure to go back soon before the season is over! We happened to attend on St. Patrick's Day, the luckiest day of the year, and the Railers won 3-2 against Fort Wayne. The entire team wore special green jerseys for the game!
