Macaroni Kid Worcester Review - Boundless Adventures

By Noelle Monaghan - Worcester Macaroni Kid Publisher August 29, 2018

When you were a child, did you ever dream that you could scale a building as well as Spider Man?  What about have the strength of Wonder Woman?  Pipe dreams?  Maybe.  Those dreams were a reality for my children recently.

We had a children's birthday party at Boundless Adventures, the newest climbing aerial adventure park in Central Massachusetts (near Solomon Pond Mall), and the kids had the time of their lives!  I have to warn you, my children and their friends are extremely active, so this was something they were really excited about this summer.  This aerial adventure park is open to anyone ages 7+.

Let me walk you through our experience, so that you can book your own birthday party or group experience there.

All 10 participants were required to sign an e-waiver prior to climbing.  This process is simple, and you use the link provided to you via email.  As soon as we arrived on a very hot and sunny day, we gave everyone sunscreen, checked in at the office, and had the kids head over to the harness area to be fitted.  Everyone was sized and given instructions on safety.  We walked over to the staging area to listen to more instructions, as well as using the practice lines while our feet were still on the ground.  The youngest children in the group were 7, so they were given the option to climb the easiest courses.  The older children, the 12 year old kids, were allowed to start at a more challenging level.  Course level details are HERE.

Let me just tell you, the kids took off running when the safety instructions were over.  Fortunately, employees wearing bright orange shirts were stationed all over the ground, ready to assist if anyone needed help.  As a parent, that was reassuring to me.  Not knowing what to expect, I thought that two hours may have been too long for the group, but I was wrong.  We used up every minute of that time and I had to tell the kids to stop climbing to sit down for birthday cake.  As it turns out, one 7 year old child decided after a climb to sit out for a bit, and at the end of our party, one 12 year old child requested a zip-line  rescue on the hardest level.   The staff handled it fantastically.  We were impressed with the quality of the park structure, as well as with the cheerful, and very helpful employees.

We will be back to visit soon, for sure!  According to my 7 year old daughter, "This place is awesome!" and my 12 year old son said, "I loved the adventure and being outdoors!"  Check out our video to see what the park looks like.

We brought our own cooler, filled with bottled water and desserts (cake and macaroons) to celebrate in the shaded picnic area.  Complimentary water is available at the base of the main climbing station, in case you forget to bring some.  Day passes are $55 for 12+ and $49 for 7-11.  Season passes are also available, for those that just can't get enough!
