Volunteer in Westborough, Shrewsbury and Worcester This Holiday Season

It's the holiday season and Worcester needs volunteers to help with many things around town.  Do you want to help the community of Greater Worcester by volunteering this year?  Giving back is one of the greatest gifts a person can experience.  It's the season of helping others and we have found several ways that you can make a difference in your community.  Whether is it helping with Worcester food donations or holiday meals, there are plenty of opportunities to volunteer listed below!  If you know of one that you would like added to our list let us know HERE.

  1. Broad Meadow Brook
    • Drop-In Volunteer Day Options
  2. Shrewsbury Senior Center
  3. League of Women Voters
  4. St. Anne's Food Pantry
  5. Shrewsbury Trails Committee
  6. Worcester Animal Rescue League
  7. United Way of Central Massachusetts  -  Several different volunteer options in the Worcester area are offered.
  8. Worcester Center for Crafts
    • Volunteers are needed to help set up for the annual Holiday Festival of Crafts from Nov 29- Dec 1 as well as the days of the festival Nov 29-Dec 1 from 10-5.

    • We urgently need volunteers to help us coordinate and transport our food deliveries. We need people weekdays, during the day. Please call Lissa at 508-799-7699 for more information.

    • Volunteers bring their hearts and their hands to their work at the El Buen Samaritano Food Program. Their efforts are vital to our mission of feeding the hungry in our state. Volunteers are a central component of the EBS Food Program help our neighbors experiencing hunger – including children, senior citizens and entire families. Our location and office are abuzz with hunger-relief activity, and your help is needed more than ever! We challenge you to take our advocacy pledge so you can use what you’ve learned to help change minds, wills, and policies in pursuit of zero hunger. Stop by our location any Friday between 10am – 12:30pm and sign up today. We would love to meet you!
  11. Meals on Wheels Drivers - Westborough Senior Center
    • As needed, on M-F meals can be picked up for delivery in town from 10:30-11:30am. These deliveries typically take less than one hour to complete. Also, help with Medical rides that are slightly out of town if it fits the volunteer's availability.
