Every week, Macaroni KID Worcester shares five things to do with your kids in Worcester & Beyond over the coming weekend.

1. Move & Groove Storytime (Westborough)

A musical and fun-filled summer storytime for toddlers and preschoolers! Join us to sing, move, and dance, as well as listen to a story or two.  
Kids of all ages are welcome but best for 16 months - Pre-K age with a caregiver. Tuesday, July 23 from 10:30-11:15am at Westborough Public Library. Drop in. Free.


2. ‘Out to Lunch’ Festival and Farmers’ Market (Worcester)

The 14th Annual Out to Lunch Festival & Farmers’ Market will feature six weeks of live performances, crafters, food vendors, farmers, and community organizations on the Worcester Common! The events will take place from 11am to 2pm every Thursday from July 11 through August 15, 2024. Thursday, July 25th from 11am-2pm at the Worcester Common Oval. Free to attend, fees apply for vendors. Drop in.


3. Free Summer Fitness Series 2024 - Basketball Skills

Worcester Fitness in the Parks is a FREE 12-week program presented by the City of Worcester Department of Health and Human Services and Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA, in partnership with the YMCA of Central Massachusetts and YWCA Central Massachusetts. The goal of this program is to create a healthier Worcester by providing residents with opportunities to engage in healthy eating, active living, and community building. For any cancellations due to weather or schedule changes, please visit www.worcesterma.gov/summer-fitness. Park locations, dates and times are subject to change. No classes the following holidays: June 19 (Juneteenth) and July 4 (Independence Day). Friday, July 26th from 3-4pm at Crompton Park. Register in advance with link above. Free.


4. The Whalemobile! at Tatnuck Bookseller

The Whalemobile is an incredibly realistic life-sized inflatable whale meant to educate children in a hands-on, up-close experience. Children can go inside the whale, see the size and the organs, and have a “close to the real thing” experience. All ages are welcome! Four, 30-minute whale tours will be available, in which smaller groups (20 maximum) will have their turn.
Kids learn best while doing. Learning inside the Whale-mobile is an experience they'll remember forever! Drop in. Saturday, July 27th from 10am - 1pm. Pre-register for a time slot. Free.


5. Imagination Station (Westborough)

Drop in on Saturdays, between 10am - 12:30pm, to have some fun doing a variety of creative activities! We might be building with Lego bricks, making upcycled crafts, or playing with something else - come and be surprised!  No Registration Needed.  Kids of all ages* are welcome with a caregiver nearby. *Ages 6 and under must be actively supervised by a caregiver. Sunday, July 27 from 10-12:30pm at Westborough Public Library. Free to attend. Drop in.
