Grilled Kielbasa and Potatoes: A Family Fun Recipe

Grilled Coleman Natural Uncured Polish Kielbasa is an easy meal that the whole family can make

Early fall is the perfect time to grill this delicious meal that the family will enjoy — Coleman Natural Uncured Polish Kielbasa and potatoes!

My teenager is learning how to use the grill and loves helping out with our outdoor family meals. When it's time for grilling out, we let him know that he's "the boss." If you have a teenager, try it!  Mine really loves using the grill, with supervision by my husband for safety, of course.




To prepare for our next family cookout, we went shopping for our favorite brand, Coleman Natural at Big Y in Holden, Ma. It is also available at the Worcester location.  They are simple to find in the refrigerated section.  

This is absolutely our brand of choice as it is delicious and contains pork sourced from American family farms that raise their animals crate free, with no antibiotics or added hormones ever.  Not only is it delicious and easy to grill, it contains no added nitrates or nitrites, no artificial preservatives or ingredients. Coleman Natural Uncured Polish Kielbasa and potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 2 packages of Coleman Natural Uncured Polish Kielbasa (click HERE for local available stores)
  • 4 potatoes (quartered)
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 large yellow onion (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • Optional mustard and/or sauerkraut
  • Hoagie rolls
  • 1 gallon size resealable bag
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste


Instructions:

  1. Turn on the grill and pre-heat for 2 minutes.
  2. Cut Coleman Natural Kielbasa to 6 inch pieces.
  3. Place potatoes, garlic powder, salt, pepper, onion powder and olive oil in the resealable bag and shake. Younger children love helping with this!
  4. Place Coleman Natural Kielbasa, potatoes, peppers and onions on the grill for approximately 30 minutes, using the butter with the peppers and onions to sauté them.
  5. Serve Coleman Natural Kielbasa in hoagie rolls with peppers, onions, mustard and sauerkraut and potatoes on the side.
