In early 2022, the Holdin’ Back Band made a major shift in their aspirations for the coming years. With the retirement and departure of 2 members, Holdin’ Back’s Co-Leader, Craig Smith ( Bass, Keyboards, 12-String) saw a great opportunity to grab the best available Musicians in Worcester County, and create a 60’s band to fill the void left by the loss of Beatles for Sale (2022 being their last year) and Holdin’ Back ( Retired end of 2022). Plus, there has been a general absence of strong 60’s Bands. Smith immediately added close friend Dave Gozdur, original Holdin’ Back and Ravin’ Blue Drummer & vocals; then added Joe Reidy (Tornado Alley, Mike Girard’s Big Swinging Thing, Wachusett Jazz Quartet) for rhythm guitar/bass & vocals. Dave reached out to Ronnie Medieros, accomplished Ravin’ Blue Guitarist & vocals, and the Band was ready to roll. Their focus would continue to be Bandstands, Major Fairs & Private Functions– mostly outside venues. With this pedigree of talent plus Holdin’ Back’s previous track record (since 2013), the Band was booked for 2023 by late September ’22. Nobody had heard them yet…….
Concert is Tuesday August 1st, 6-8pmDave and Eric formed Hit the Bus back in 2008 and have played throughout New England. We play an eclectic mix of music ranging from the 50's through today's hits. Hit The Bus plays the music people want to hear, dance and party to! The concert is sponsored by Shrewsbury Parks & Recreation & Friends of Shrewsbury Library.
