Presenter Lisa Siciliano’s longtime professional career was devoted to non-profit human services work, during which she was a leading advocate on the local, statewide, and national levels – both appointed and elected – to ensure adequate funding for HIV/AIDS. Along the way she has also worked as a college professor, executive directed an international program to fund the education of girls in east Africa, and as a creative arts tutor for home-schooled youth.
Her artwork has been included in exhibits and sold in several galleries throughout New England, including in Celebrations! – Yankee Magazine’s top destination location gallery. Color is a compelling influence in her life, something that is evident in her creations. Samples of her artwork appear on www.sparkreations.com website.
Lisa has taught paper art classes in varied venues, including art store classrooms and public libraries. She enjoys sharing her creative talents with others, most especially encouraging others to flex their artistic muscles and explore their own creative ideas. She believes that, just as in life, the journey usually teaches us more than does the destination. For Lisa, that is often where the joy resides. As Susan Sontag said, "The only interesting answers are those which destroy the questions."
