Youth Art Classes & Workshops

Creative fun, all year-long!

The WAM Studio Art Program introduces children of all ages to the world of art in a fun and supportive environment. Young students explore the Museum, try new materials, and benefit from working with professional artists and educators. As they build their skills, they gain a sense of confidence and a deeper appreciation for art. All youth, not just those with perceived talent, benefit from our Program.

Fall Highlights

  • Toddler classes (14 – 36 months with adult) feature a mix of hands-on artmaking activities with stories and visits to the Museum galleries

  • Preschool classes (3 – 5 years old with adult) introduce young children to art materials and new experiences through studio activities, games, and stories

  • Youth classes (5 - 13 years old) feature a variety of art media, fun themes and gallery exploration

  • Teen classes (14 – 17 years old) provide more in-depth exposure to art as well as college prep options
