Macaroni Kid Worcester Review - A Charlie Brown Christmas Live

By Noelle Monaghan - Worcester Macaroni Kid Publisher November 29, 2018

There is just something magical about seeing a childhood show live on stage in a beautiful theater.  My family looks forward to watching A Charlie Brown Christmas special every year.  This year, we got to see it live at the Boch Center Shubert Theatre as well, and you can too!  Tickets for A Charlie Brown Christmas Live On Stage are still available for purchase here.

Poor Charlie Brown!  Luck is not usually on his side.  His friends find a way to help him get excited about Christmas.  From Lucy's psychiatric help to Snoopy's holiday excitement and charismatic personality, it is a hit!  Snoopy even disguises himself as Santa during one of the snow scenes.  The friends go on a quest to find the true meaning of Christmas together.  My two children, ages 7 and 12,  were engaged and giddy for the full 1 and 1/2 hours.  Live music is played throughout the entire performance.  Pig-Pen does an especially wonderful job playing the drums, as do the guitarist and the pianist.  At the end of the show, the audience is invited to sing along with the Peanuts gang to true classics like Deck the Halls and Away in a Manger.

They loved taking a picture with the main actor that played Charlie Brown, Jack Flatley after the show!
