For parents in the Worcester area, it's important to start thinking about Kindergarten registration for the fall of 2025. Many local school districts have their own registration processes and deadlines, so it's important to do your research and stay informed. The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education website provides valuable resources and answers to common questions about the state's school system, which can help guide you through the registration process. It's also a good idea to check with your child's potential school for specific registration requirements and documents needed. Some schools may require proof of residency, immunization records, or a birth certificate, among other things. By gathering and preparing these documents in advance, you can help streamline the registration process and ensure that your child is ready to start school in the fall. Don't hesitate to reach out to school officials if you have any questions or concerns, as they are there to help you and your child navigate this exciting new chapter in their life.
Kindergarten registration for the 2025-26 school year begins on January 2, 2025.
The child must be 5 years old by December 31, 2025 to qualify for kindergarten admission for the 2025-26 school year.
We encourage families to enroll their children as early as possible during the registration process. While we will never turn families away, we want to ensure the process is not rushed and all students have everything they need to start attending school in late August.
