Are you seeking exciting ways to celebrate Independence Day in and around Worcester? Look no further! We have compiled a comprehensive list of events and activities that guarantee an unforgettable July 4th experience. Check out these fantastic options to find the perfect family-friendly fun in the Worcester area.


  1. Worcester celebration and Fireworks are on June 29th from 4-10pm (rain date June 30th). East Park (Cristoforo Colombo Park) - 180 Shrewsbury Street, Worcester MA. 4:00 p.m. - Park opens; 4:30 p.m. - Food Court and fun for Kids;  5:00 p.m. - Entertainment and Live music; 9:30 p.m. - Fireworks. Kids will love the splash park, and playground, plus cotton candy and other tasty treats for sale at the park! Bring a picnic blanket and chairs to enjoy this fun family event.
  2. Worcester Police vs Worcester Fire Department Baseball Teams with Fireworks Fireworks on Friday just added for June 30th! The Worcester Bravehearts have announced that they will hold an Alumni Weekend on July 28-30th where they will welcome back former players, staff and partners. The weekend will feature three home games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to be played at Fitton Field. Bay State Savings Bank is providing the first 250 tickets to the “You-Choose-The-Rules” game, which you can claim using the link here and the password “baystate”.   3. Patriotic Pops Concert with Fireworks in Worcester. INSTITUTE PARK - Monday, July 3, 2023, 7:45 P.M. Patriotic Pops Concert with Fireworks. Myron Romanul, Conductor; Gary Rosen, Master of Ceremonies; Jane Shivick and Christon Carney, vocal soloists. This concert featuring the Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra is a patriotic pops concert to celebrate the national Independence Day holiday. Music primarily of American composers including Copland, Gould, and Williams. The concert will conclude with Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture and Sousa's Stars and Stripes Forever, accompanied by fireworks in Institute Park. Rain date: Tuesday, July 4. (Broadcast date on WCUW, 91.3 FM: Monday, July 17, 2023, 9 P.M.)
  4. Worcester on at the WooSox baseball games during their July 4th weekend plan to set off fireworks. Tuesday, July 4 at 6:45 P.M. EDT vs. Syracuse Mets (New York Mets)
  5. Old Sturbridge Village is celebrating July 1-4, 2023 from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm.  Cost: Included with standard daytime admission or Village membership. Please make sure to reserve/purchase tickets before arriving! On Independence Day Weekend, visitors will have the chance to take part in a socially distanced citizens’ parade, listen to music and other special performances, watch cannon and musket demonstrations, and more at Old Sturbridge Village. Summer food and drink will be available for purchase.
  6. Westborough Annual Block Party on June 30, 2023 from 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm. Lets celebrate the 4th of July and the start of summer with the Westborough annual block party! There will be music, food, hay rides, pony rides, face painting, interactive car racing, and so much more!
  7. Hit the Bus Concert (Shrewsbury) Dave and Eric formed Hit the Bus back in 2008 and have played throughout New England. We play an eclectic mix of music ranging from the 50's through today's hits. Hit The Bus plays the music people want to hear, dance and party to! The concert is sponsored by Shrewsbury Parks & Recreation & Friends of Shrewsbury Library.
    Concert is Tuesday July 4th, 6-8pm. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the music at the Dean Park Bandstand, 805 Main Street. 6:00-8:00 pm.
  8. FREE Home Depot Kids' Workshop 7/1: Worcester (Fireworks Bean Bag Toss) Note that you no longer have to register online as these kits are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Assemble your airship and design a parachute to help it float safely to the ground. July 1, 2023 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm at Home Depot.
